Company Disputes
Throughout my professional career, I have been involved in advising and acting for companies (and shareholders) in many ways.
As a solicitor, I was engaged in forming companies, advising companies on corporate issues, advising shareholders, bringing and defending liquidation proceedings (for debt recovery and other purposes).
I advised a range of shareholders, companies, and directors on their rights and responsibilities in a range of circumstances, including takeovers. I assisted a public issuer in meeting its statutory, shareholder, and Stock Exchange duties and responsibilities.
As a barrister, I have experience in, and can be instructed in the following areas:
- Shareholder rights, including oppressive conduct, pre-emptive rights.
- Interpretation and enforcement of constitutions.
- Directors’ duties.
- Insolvency issues, including claims against directors, and preferential and undervalue transactions.
- Other issues in relation to companies.
